Unless the TV has separate component inputs then its highly unlikely that
it can receive native progressive scan.
However, the TV itself could be de-interlacing internally.
With progressive NTSC there are two factors. One is de-interlacing, i.e.
removing the even/odd field flicker and secondly 3:2 pulldown removal where
the jerkiness is virtually removed.
