Hi,
Im considering a Sanyo PLV-Z1 as a first home projector. Ive had a dry
run with an ancient Epson projector (300 lumens, weighs a ton, sounds like
a road drill etc.) and even *that* was excellent. This means that the most
difficult part, agreement from the Mrs, has been achieved.
Im intending to ceiling mount the projector at one end of the room and
display on the opposite wall. The walls are in very good order, weve just
painted everything matt white, and weve had blackout blinds installed on
the windows, so I think conditions should be pretty good.
The room is 470cms long and the height is 260cm. The wall on which Im
intending to project has a banister approx. 95 cm in height, positioned
70cm from the opposite wall, limiting the lowest point we can
project at, and the ceiling slopes at the sides, cutting out approx. 60cm
from the top of the ceiling.
By my calculations, this means that I need to angle the projector at about
12 degrees to fit my picture in. Will the keystone correction on this
projector handle that sort of angle ?
Also which connector will give me the best picture, and are the cables
needed available in a decent length in white ?
What sort of power cable will I need to run up there ?
Any advice/opinion/experience appreciated.
Thanks
Sean
