HI-FI

Hope I dont bore everyone to death, but I still have no PAL dvi
picture...
Heres what:

1. Pioneer DV868avi > hdmi-dvi cable > Panasonic TH42-PWD6EX
2. Pioneer in NTSC mode, showing 480p in Pio display
3. Playing NTSC disc, everything fine, superb picture
4. Playing no disc, Pio screensaver for one sec, just color noise in any
mode
5. Pioneer in PAL or AUTO mode
6. Pannys manual shows only 575 as only 50Hz mode, which should be
PAL
6. Showing 576p (which is correct) in Pio display, but only color noise
pattern
7. Tried home made and comm. dvds, same difference
8. Cant be the disc, because in PAL mode not even the setup shows up
nor the screensaver

What am I doing wrong here?
Both Pan. and Pio. people tell me it can be done...
