Watching television whilst the Liteon is ON (recording or not) is
problematic as there is interference on all channels (some worse than
others).

This happens whether I watch the TV through the Liteon (SCART input) or
using the normal (ANALOGUE TUNER) television channels.

Have I got a duff machine, or is this a known problem?

When the Liteon is OFF and I use my TVs built-in digital tuner, all is
well. When I switch the Liteon ON, I lose a lot of the freeview channels,
whilst some will just pixelate badly. Again this is watching directly on the
television tuner and not through the Liteon.

I have one of these and I get interference on Channel 4 only when watching
through the liteons tuner plus the other channels are not that clear, but
channel 4 and others are fine through my TV tuner.
Also if I put a disc in and record for over 30 mins when I stop recording it
just makes the disc invalid, I have to record for 30 secs stop and then
record for what ever length of time and its fine.
Very hit and miss piece of kit.
