Hi,

Im thinking of buying a Panasonic TH-42PWD6 plasma screen and
Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD recorder. Ill need about 2.5m of cable between
them. Ill have a telewest digibox connected by SCART to the DVD
recorder; I gather it will pass the signal straight through when its
in standby.

Im confused about which terminal board and cable will give the best
results. SCART seems easiest, but Ive read previous posts saying that
component video gives a better picture. Will this work with the DVD
recorder, and play nicely with the telewest box? What cable will I
need?

Any advice appreciated...

Zara

Probably the most straightforward option for you - assuming your happy
to keep the DVR On when viewing your Digibox is:

Digibox SCART RGB out to DVR SCART RGB In.
DVR YUV Out to Plasma HD15(VGA)YUV In.

Youll require a decent quality Fully Wired or RGB+LR Audio cable form
the Digibox to the DVR and a decent quality 3RCA to HD15 Component
cable between the DVR and the Display.

In this set-up you dont require any additional video cards in the
Display - Im assuming your not using the HD15 (VGA) socket with a PC.

Any questions please shout.
