Well I tried many models at many prices and none worked satisfactory.
But I ended up with this one you ask about. As supplied it did not do the
job correctly, so as it cost under Ł10,
I took it to bits and modified it.
I had to disable the switches that do the vcr recording, 2nd and 3rd key
from the left.

Up to you if you wish to mess about.

I dont know what you want from this but it does RGB perfectly without
modification - 1st time Ive heard anyone having to mess with it at all.
Great unit for the price and almost the only manual switcher that does the
job properly. OP should go for it.

Ok, thanks for that. Im assuming the other guy got a faulty unit, or was
trying to do something weird and wonderful with it...

If mine needs modification, itll be returned!

I have that one... it does pass through the RGB and widescreen signal, but
say you switch to something on socket C, but the device on socket A is
also turned on. The device on socket A will control the widescreen
switching. Can be annoying, but if its for devices that you wont have
on at the same time, then its not a problem.

Glad to hear yours works ok, had mine a few years, maybe mine was faulty or
they have modified them.
The OP can of course return the unit to Argos for a refund if it does not
work in his situation.
One should remember to use fully wired screened scart leads, 4 will be
required.

Doesnt do that on mine. I often have the digibox on (on A) while watching
the DVD on B and Ive never had a problem.

Typical... It might be C overriding A, I cant remember now.
Unfortunately I bought the unit ages ago when I discovered the problem. I
had no receipt, so couldnt remember if it was within a year or not.

Maybe Ill resolder the joints.
